Kris Campo (°1961, Belgium) studied Ceramics at the Royal Academie of Fine Arts in Antwerp and the Saint-Lucas-Institute in Ghent, Belgium.

From 1987 she started her own studio and participated regularly in exhibitions and contests in and outside Europe.

From 1991 until 2007, she guided at the Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp and started teaching in several academies. Since 1997, she runs her own studio at the Academy of Fine Arts of the city of Sint-Niklaas.

In 2004 & 2008 she travels to China. These trips influence her work strongly. She starts creating larger installations, based on her own history and passions, with verry dynamic, coloured and decorated objects. Adittionaly, she integrates other elements as paper prints and furniture.

In 2008 she starts the project 'Tracks & Traces', which will consist of three parts: 'Me, my family & I', 'Decades' and 'Snowlight'.

Kris Campo's work is mentioned in several publications and was selected in contests such as the International Biennale of Ceramics Art, Vallauris (2012), Ceramics of Europe, Westerwaldpreis, Höhr-Grenzhausen, (2009 – 2010), and the European Trienal for Ceramics & Glass, WCCBF, Mons (2010-2011).

In 2012 she won the First Prize of the International award of contemporary Ceramics CERCO, Spain.

Since 2018, she has also been active as a curator of (ceramic) exhibitions.
